Name: Milo A.
Age: 5 years old
Location: California, USA
Diagnosis: Autism
Loan Sought: $1,000
Loan Needed For: Two months worth of Enhansa ($90); Custom Probiotics Autism Formula ($320); Enzymes, dha, multi vitamin, and glutathione ($140); 20 HBOT dives and travel expenses to DAN! office, 130 miles round trip ($450).
Repayment Terms: 18 months ($55.56/month)
Other Notes: Milo's mom, Robin, writes, "Milo is a beautiful 5 year old boy diagnosed with high functioning autism. Milo suffered from seizures incurred after a round of immunizations and the flu vaccine. He has had continued health issues ever since but strives to get better everyday. He is going into a typical Kindergarden this year with a strong academic skill level. Our continued battles with yeast, candida have been hard so we push on to fight it. We are lucky enough to start HBOT at an affordable rate so that is something to look forward to."

July 4, 2010: Update from Robin:For all the lenders that helped us, and for anyone that was following Milo's story and progress, here is an update.
After we got the loan, I was able to buy some very expensive supplements to help Milo combat the Candida (yeast), and we started more hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). Unfortunately, we had a very stormy winter season, and we had to cut off HBOT due to extreme conditions in the mountains that we had to pass through to get to our DAN doctor. I was able to keep Milo on the supplements through the winter, and the good news was that we got the Candida under control. Huge victory!! The bad news was that my Doctor called and had decided to longer do DAN work due to her other full time job. She then reviewed with me Milo's progress and happily told me that she felt he no longer required her services. That he could officially graduate from her practice. Good news but also a shock to be losing such a important person in our lives. Things happen and you have to move forward, so we did.
Milo just recently completed Kindergarten in a general education classroom this year and did fantastic. He did well enough to go on to first grade and is growing more and more each day. He has friends and has become quite a good swimmer.
I truly feel that without the biomedical intervention, we wouldn't be where we are today. He would still be sick and in a haze and disconnected. It saved his life.
Again thank you all for the support, kind words, and humanity. Our family will be forever grateful.
