This loan is past-due.
First Posted On: June 12, 2009
Name: Kyle
Age: 8 years old
Location: Georgia, USA
Diagnosis: Autism
Loan Sought: $795
Loan Needed For: First DAN! [Defeat Autism Now!] doctor visit with Dr. Hank Sloan (appointment scheduled for August 17, 2009, $225); one follow-up visit with Dr. Sloan ($95); stool test ($330); mOAT [urine] test ($145)
Repayment Terms: 18 months ($44.17/month)
Other Notes: Kyle stays with his grandma, Sonja, on the weekends. Sonja has been researching biomedical treatments on Autism Action Plan and on many parent forums, while also studying for the college courses she is taking to get a Business Administration degree. Sonja writes, "Kyle is extremely bright and funny. He has crying spells, but is trying to speak more. He has begun to speak and can now understand some of the things he's saying. He gets frustrated due to his speech problem. He is extremely handsome and he loves the outdoors. I have been paying for Kyle's expenses out of pocket, but it's getting too expensive all at once."
Additional Notes: One of Sonja's references, Regina, mentioned that Sonja "put her life on the line" and left her home in Michigan to go to Georgia to help take care of Kyle. Regina said that she has tried to emulate Sonja and uses her as her financial role model since "Sonja always pays back every loan and every debt. She is a beautiful person."
