Name: Joe

Age: 7 years old

Location: North Carolina, USA

Diagnosis: Autism, Ketotic Hypoglycemia, AV Canal Heart Defect, and Repaired Lung

Loan Sought: $480

Loan Needed For: Appointment with DAN! [Defeat Autism Now!] Dr. Jerry Kartzinel ($390); compounded yeast medication from Lee Silsby ($65), and shipping ($25).

Repayment Terms: 18 months ($26.67/month)

Other Notes: Joe's mom, Tara, writes, "Joe had a heart surgery at 3 months of age and a lung surgery at 3 years of age. He was diagnosed autistic at 2 1/2 years old.

Since starting his biomedical treatment with Dr. Kartzinel in March 2009, he doesn't hold his ears all the time, he has lost his motor tics, he has started saying some words, he is more calm, and his transition issues are easier.

He is so much better, but he has about 80 food allergies and has a long ways to go on healing his leaky gut."

Special Note: Joe has his next appointment with Dr. Kartzinel on July 30, 2009.

July 23, 2009: Thank you note from Tara: "I wanted to thank you and our sponsors for our loan. With the loan we will be able to take Joseph on his trip to see his autism specialist next week. He's getting better. He is 7 and has just started to say some words. He still has a long way to go, with the help of Dr. Kartzinel I think he will continue to get better. Autistic children are very special children! Again, thanks for all of your help to make this happen. God Bless You!"
