Make a Microloan for 6-yr old Jake's Health!

This loan is being paid back.

First Posted: May 28, 2009

Name: Jake

Age: 6 years old

Location: Virginia, USA

Diagnosis: Asperger Syndrome

Loan Sought: $570 [reduced from original amount of $720 because Tim Terry from Nordic Naturals is donating the 5-month supply of arctic-d cod liver oil to this family.]

Loan Needed For: A delayed sensitivity food allergy panel test ($300) and a supply of Jake's supplements: Nordic Naturals Arctic-d cod liver oil ($149.70); HMF Capsules probiotic ($103.50); UNDA passiflora plex- hyperactivity, promotes healthy sleep, calming ($31.20); UNDA 2 heavy metal detox ($18.30); UNDA 48 heavy metal detox ($18.30); UNDA 258 heavy metal detox ($18.30); AMD Heavy Metal Detox ($22.70); Cat’s Claw Tincture to bring down Hep B titer ($15.99); Gammadyn Cu-Au-Ag- to bring down Hep B titer ($21.32); and Gammadyn Zn- zinc supplement ($21.50)

Repayment Terms: 18 months ($31.67/month, figured after donation from Nordic Naturals)

Other Notes: Jake's mom, Ann, writes, "Jake is the funniest kid I have ever met. He has the greatest sense of humor and loves to tell jokes. He loves to draw, paint, play with playdoh, basically anything art related. He is the most loving, affectionate kid I have ever come across. He is going to Kindergarten next year and we are all really looking forward to that, as well as nervous. Jake was diagnosed with Aspergers after a series of Rabies vaccinations (rabid bat in his room). Fast forward a few years and he is also diagnosed with severe ADHD. In the past several months we have been seeing a homeopathic doctor and have been trying many supplements and natural methods instead of traditional medicines. We are also detoxing his gut, liver/kidney, and heavy metals and are seeing improvements with that. These supplements are killing us financially as we have many other doctor bills and general bills. Thanks in advance to anyone who helps us out!" Ann learned about Lend4Health from an article in Age of Autism.

Special Note from Lend4Health Founder Tori: I learned from one of the family's references, John H., that Jake and his mom, Ann, live with Ann's mom. Ann and her mom have each done a lot of research on autism, and Jake's grandma is writing a book about his story. Written from the perspective of a grandmother, the book's working title is "Unlocking Jake."
