Other Notes: Tristen's mom, Meadow, writes: "Tristen is the light in our lives. He cracks us up every day! Since starting BioMed treatments, his life-long battles with constant fever and illness have ceased. Every day we see our little boy emerging that much closer to reaching his full potential. He talks to no end about Poke'mon, much welcomed, however, after years and years of Thomas the Train. After treating for yeast and strep in his gut, we still see the "allergy shiners" and behavior reactions to foods. The food allergy blood work done at Great Plains Labs showed somewhat of a sensitivity to ALL foods...we don't know where to start (after GFCFSF). This testing with Dr. Sabnis should clear up our food allergy questions that were not made clear after testing with Great Plains Laboratory.

My husband lost his job, and I am a kindergarten aide for a boy with Autism. We barely make enough money from my checks to buy the special food and vitamins etc, let alone another huge doctor bill. If we could eat Ramen noodles every day to get him the treatment we would....we just don't have that option because my other son and I also experience the same sensitivities to food as Tristen.

I want Tristen to be an example for our backwards town. I want them to look at him and see the gains we have made from this program. We STILL, after all the media and press, get the rolled eyes and the smirks. I want to be the first person to voice this from the rooftops so that people in our part of the U.S. will WAKE UP and get their children the help they deserve!"

August 17, 2009: Update from Meadow: "I wanted to send a quick update, so all you wonderful, kind-hearted people would know how Tristen's allergy testing went. We found out Tristen has some pretty severe seasonal allergies! Not just wheezing or hives but also big, huge painful welts! Having this treated will really help his immune system get stronger so he can fight viruses and such. He also isn't 'alergic' to wheat and dairy, but is eggs, which is a tough one to figure out on your own cuz it's in so many baked goods. Since we know he isn't 'allergic' to wheat and dairy, we can pinpoint it as a digestion problem and once his gut has healed from the lifetime of strep, we should be able to reintroduce those foods with digestive enzymes without too much trouble! Yea, for real pizza and ice cream! This is a great step towards normalcy. The allergy specialist we were able to see hopes that with treatment, Tristen's allergies will not effect him in three to five years. As we continue on this Biomedical journey, I am amazed each day as his vocabulary and comprehension grows. We are very blessed.....and we owe part of this progress to you. Thank you!
